” In building the temple, only blocks dressed at the quarry were used, and no hammer, chisel or any other iron tool was heard at the temple site while it was being built “  [1 Kings 6:7]

The crashing, banging sounds of progress broke the relative quiet of the mountains. We were helping with the finishing touches of the home our son was building and the noise level was high.  After an ear piercing crash someone yelled, “are you okay?” and the answer came back, “yes, this is a construction site”—meaning get used to it we are building.

Building can be noisy and messy and from what we hear in the present day and read from the past, revival is that way.   Revival is full of miracles, messiness and the mystery of God working through imperfect man to save an imperfect world.  Christ didn’t come just for sinners He comes through sinners.

But there comes a time when the Holy Spirit places His stones into the temple made without hands and there is no noise— No tool of man touches nor shapes the temple stones that fit into their place of designed destiny.  The shape is forged in the floods of life—formed by the fires that come to every man and shaped into the resting place of God’s Holy Presence.

On God’s construction site the only noise we hear that governs our steps and positions our lives is the sound from Heaven. ”This is the way, walk in it”
