He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.” [John 16:14]

Often and certainly in the past God’s people hear the word ‘receive’ and consider it to mean, “whatever I want God will give me”.  Well because of His great love He just might do that, but that is not what is intended.  Many have received the blessings of God and failed to glorify Him and have ended up in a mess.  The children of Israel are a prime example.

The reason for the giving is for the glory.  In these days God is pouring out His Spirit and for those who yield, His presence creates a number of responses.  First hunger to know Him, but in knowing Him He reveals who we are and what His purpose is for our lives.  Just as He died for individuals He calls individuals.  He calls them not just to come to Him, but to activate the works or ministry He has predestined His people to walk in.   Through skills, training, gifts and talents the Spirit of God reveals the uniqueness of every man and woman.  We are not clones, the Spirit of God flows through the human personality and brings out such authentic people that the Light of Glory can shine through their lives.

Season after season the Spirit peels back the self created masks in our lives and like Michelangelo’s David finally the real you is exposed.  Only now God has a vessel filled with His Light, able to hear with clarity and see what the Spirit is saying… and He gets the glory!
