”By faith, Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. “ [Hebrews 11:8]

There are many and varied faith producing valleys in the Christian experience.  But!  It is the same faith that works the work of God in every man’s life.  Abraham the father of our faith teaches by his experience all we need to know about what to do when life hands us the unknown, the unfixable, and unexplainable valley’s of life.

Simple—this redirection, change, challenge known as—‘the call of God to Abraham’ was dramatically simple.  In the midst of abundant yet pagan living there was a stirring in Abraham’s heart for something more than the idolatry of his time and in simplicity God said, “Go”.

In this high tech, sophisticated 21st century world in which we live surely there must be a ‘game plan’, a thoroughly worked out, worked through proven path whereby we can activate what God has said—many loose their vision through this kind of thinking—and the power of God is lost through man made strategies and structures.

God will always tell us what—rarely does He detail the ‘facts’ other than how to think and how to speak.    “…if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there and it will move, Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Faith is not proven—it is a hair-raising, risk-taking act of dependency on God.  The power of faith is in the attitude of the heart to trust God—trust is an action whereby all the resources of heaven are at man’s disposal.  Facts are formed in the head—faith is fashioned in the heart—facts are formed by faiths action—not the reverse!

To stop a man from fulfilling God’s command only one ploy is necessary…the same one the enemy used against Eve—did God say…The deceiving, destructive, doubt of the devil’s devices are the same as always.  What is necessary is action based on attitude that says, Forsaking All I Trust Him!
