“…He touched their eyes and said, “Become what you believe,” It happened.  They saw….” (Matthew 9:29 – The Message)

You are what you believe – the writer of Proverbs 23:2 says; “As a man thinketh in His heart so is he”   The problem with man is he thinks one thing and says another, then to everyone’s dismay he does something totally different.  Listen to this writing by Nelson Mandela this morning and check what you believe by what you say and proven by what you do.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.  Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.  It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.  We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?”  Actually, who are you not to be?  You are a child of God.  Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.  There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.  We are all meant to shine as children do.  We were born to make manifest the Glory of God that is within us.  It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.  And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.  As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Reaffirm who you are this morning… “God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are.  We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children…”  (Romans 8:16 TM)

Realign your thinking… “think of yourself the way Christ Jesus thought of himself… having become human, he stayed human.  It was an incredibly humbling process…”  (Philippians 2:5, 7, 8 TM)

Remove the pretense… “Here’s another way to put it; You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world.  God is not a secret to be kept… you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you…” (Matthew 5:14-16 TM)
