Since April when by divine appointment I had the privilege of meeting with Dr. Bruce Wilkinson my life has been more deeply changed and consumed with doing God’s good, perfect and pleasing Will , than ever before in 30 years of ministry.
The state of the nation that I came to as a young bride so many years ago has changed. I recall how I waited for five years and studied so that I might have the honor of becoming a United States citizen and have the privilege and joy of voting. No this is not a political blog—I leave that to the politicians this is a heart felt cry and longing to see the people of the United States of America return to the God that gave birth to its freedom through the faith of their forefathers.
The corruption and lack of leadership in our government at all levels is appalling leaving a sense of hopelessness. Even more appalling is the condition of ‘the church’. Stuck somewhere between the traditions of man and the outright degradation of society there are, reeling from the storm of moral and economic collapse, a powerless people known as Christians—
Within this milieu of unutterable need I believe God is moving to ‘wake-up’ those who are His, those who have cried out for His merciful grace and true revival. I also believe God has ‘done His part’ He has invested Himself in millions of people across this nation and its time to activate, to turn from our wicked ways, humble ourselves and do more than pray ....its time to come out of the prayer closet and CHANGE!
This is the mandate of Born to Serve to demonstrate and train the Body of Christ to be conduits of God’s powerful presence. Not for shiny new Cadillac’s or gold faucets but for the souls of those writhing in wickedness and evil. Power to transform lives---one-life-at-a-time. It’s not about chill bumps, barking dogs, laughing hyenas or gold dust but deep change in the inner core of God’s people.
A new strategy is today's vernacular for a new wine skin--an old solution is total surrender and alignment with God's Heavenly agenda. If we wish to participate in the challenge before us to turn our nation around then we ourselves must become living sacrifices--Born not to be served but to Serve.....serve in the power that creates miracles....will you join us?
