Journey to Mississippi …a testimony to His Faithfulness and Calling…
Last
fall I had a clear call to work with Diane in the Born to Serve
conferences. It was a strange calling for me and I think even surprised
Diane. The time leading up to leaving for the conference was completely
chaotic with a crisis in my life almost daily. A good friend and sister
in Christ with a prophetic gift, dreamed that the road to Mississippi
was obstructed by many huge boulders and was very dark and stormy. As
she and many others prayed for our mission, she saw the boulders roll
away one by one and the road become light and sunny. It was 9pm the
night before departure before I was certain I would be going.
The trip down to our sister State was filled with reading the history & vision of the citywide intercessory group Brookhaven Breakthrough that
had sponsored the conference. We spoke of many things relating to our
ministry in Brookhaven, praying and seeking His fresh
anointing. Southern Mississippi hospitality warmed us even though the
weather was cool and wet. I knew I was “home” when one of our hosts
walked into the unlocked home of the other and yelled “Yuhoo---anybody
home?” It reminded me of my childhood days in rural Georgia.
The
facility for the meeting met our needs perfectly. Everything necessary
and more was provided—even teacakes made from grandmas’ recipe
box. Friday night was Spirit filled as intercessors from every
denomination joined together for a powerful time of praise and worship
led by Wendy Roberts. Diane brought the message of renewed alignment to
God’s heavenly agenda and laid the foundation for Saturday’s teaching
sessions. Saturday morning the room was full and the friendliness and
hospitality of the entire group witnessed to our Lords presence with
us. Wendy led worship and an anointing was released for moving forward
in our Lord’s work. The Holy Spirit moved as many were catching the
vision, receiving assignments and offering themselves to be vessels for
Christ manifesting Himself in our world. Lives were touched, passion
ignited and seeds of revival were planted.
Sunday morning
found us travelling to Crystal Springs where Diane spoke at the Springs
of Praise World Outreach Center. The praise and worship was led by,
Patricia Beauvais, a truly gifted prophetic worship leader. After such
preparation, hearts were open to hear the Lord’s message of repentance,
renewal and revival. Afterward many responded to the Holy Spirit and
received ministry. Diane was invited back for a weekend of ministry in
April.
Sunday afternoon the team had a time of prayer and
praise—evaluating and considering all that had happened and how the
Lord was leading as we move forward. Monday we began our journey home
praising and thanking Him for the way He greatly blessed each one who
participated. It was a special blessing and privilege for me to be able
to participate.
We are praying that our next conference
location be prepared and ask that each one who reads this will pray
with us for the next city.
