Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family.  So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.”  Hebrews 2:11

Being caught in sin, then made alive through salvation, we are swept into the wind of the Holy Spirit and He continues to sanctify!   Now here’s a parental lesson: what our Father says, our Father does.  Regardless of the promises God has made, it is always”…yes in Christ.  And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God” (II Corinthians 1:20).

The parent is honored when the child obeys and bears fruit that honors the father.  David fought so well when he conquered Goliath that King Saul said,”Whose son are you, young man?” (I Samuel 17:58). Obedience brings opportunity to win a battle, to witness to whose you are, and to bring glory to the Father.

Bearing fruit is part of the on-going process; whenever alignment with the parent’s will is kept, the fruit is automatic.    A tree does not struggle to be a tree.  A tree would struggle to be what it is not!  Now it may not look or feel like it’s a “done deal,” but we don’t judge by what we see or feel.  We judge by what God says.  As the Spirit sanctifies the soul then the initiatives of life are Spirit driven and God says, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean” (Acts 10:15).

Fruitfulness comes from knowing and doing the Father’s will.
