”…just at the right time…”  [Romans 5:6]

Time…you can’t catch it, store it, buy it, save it or make it—you can use your time, bide your time, waste your time, lose time or redeem it—and then there is …the perfect time.  The ‘right’ time—God’s appointed time.

Strange but we have no trouble accepting God’s time when we receive it, when at the twelfth hour He intervenes—when just in time His grace and mercy opens the door, provides the need, protects the child, pours peace into a tormented soul—and we say ‘thank you Lord—your timing is perfect!’  But what about the ‘in-between time’?

David experienced this when 7 years after he was anointed King he became King—Elijah knew God’s in-between time when it rained after three years of draught.  Jonah knew this after three days in the belly of the whale—Esther knew this as a nation was held in the balance and Mordecai said,”…who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?” [Esther 4:14]

Jesus said,”It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority, But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” [Acts 1:7]

If you are waiting don’t ask when, ask for and receive power for living while you are waiting and witness to His perfect time–”You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.”  [Romans 5:6] The greatest need is power for the ‘in-between time’.
