“…if the alive and present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus” [Romans 8:11 The Message]

With such a promise do we recognize what we have received?  Think this morning for a few moments what it was that God did for Jesus His only Son—First, He promised Him many siblings.   “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.”  [Romans 8:29 NIV]  Second, the brothers would be ‘heirs together with Him’ “…heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ…” [Romans 8:17]

These two things fill us with courage and connection.  Courage because in Him we have the same power of authority…  “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you” [Luke 10:19] Connection, because in Him we are made complete – lacking nothing.    “and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” [Colossians 2:10]

This courage and connection can never be removed, thwarted or diminished.  As we live according to this same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead and now dwell in our mortal bodies’ strength and power flows through our lives!  Prime the pump of the well spring of life this morning by reading and relishing Psalm 150 “Let everything that has breath Praise the Lord!”
