“… the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left”    [Exodus 14:22]

With God there are no options – you gotta ‘go through’.  The miracle happens when you move forward by faith.  Think about it – it looks dark, in fact, it is dark.   When the enemy is behind you and troubled waters ahead of you the secret weapon is this …keep moving forward.  Wherever your foot lands it will be on dry ground.

Dry ground is opposite to deep waters.  Dry ground means you have a firm footing.  Dry ground means you won’t get stuck in the mud or the mess, but instead you shall experience the miraculous.  Don’t let the past or the ‘way things used to be’ hinder your way forward.  Jonah cried out to God and was delivered out of the deep water onto dry ground just as the Israelites were.  Dry ground determines your direction and speed at which you move forward.

The very thing the Israelites feared – the water, became the wall of protection for them and death for their enemies.  God is the most efficient and effective user of every situation you may be facing, “For we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him. Who have been called according to his purpose” [Romans 8:28]

If you’re thinking it’s not worth it, think again.  When God is moving His people forward He goes behind them to take the rear position, He only supports those moving forward.  To remain where you are is delusionary.  With God you either move forward or you regress, you go backward and find yourself buried in the deep water along with your enemies.   With God there’s no such thing as status quo, or stationary living, there’s only the victory march through, and even when it’s the darkest you will be marching on dry ground.
