”For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” [Isaiah 41:13]

As I listen to those who have been forced to go to other States to find work—to watch their homes sold on courthouse steps—to see all they worked for dissolve through corporate corruption, or those who lost all to unwise decision making, I wonder—is there hope for this nation.

I listen silently and I hear the stories, the details are many and varied often cold and clinical, but the heartache behind the words reveal the real story.  The voices speak the words, but the eyes tell the truth—we are hurting, we have lost everything, but in the midst of it all we have found a renewed sense of the presence of God.  Praise is the testimony of His Presence—not dependent on good or bad circumstances—

There is hope in this nation—it’s real, it’s alive and it’s making a difference.  There is courage, to start again, to find a new beginning, to reach beyond the loss and find the pearl of great price.  The pioneering spirit rises up in people when they must move on—reach further—go beyond.  It is proving there is strength within that has room to stretch—a wider space to show forth the praise of God. Hidden behind the performance and pretension He was there all the time waiting and for many the waiting is over—He is making Himself known again.  To them He says “… do not fear; I will help you…”
