“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you” [John 14:26]
This Word is a great assurance this morning that when we forget things God has spoken to us He is faithful to remind us. In His great love our God never forgets and will always remind us of all He has spoken to our hearts. Many years ago through the Holy Spirit I had the following conversation and recently the Father brought it back to my mind.
I had just spent 3 days at a conference in Arizona and was taking a night flight back to Atlanta. Full of joy and peace I sat down to relax. As I did so I glanced out of the airplane window and was astonished to see that we were already airborne, surprised I said in my heart. “Father we are already airborne and I never knew when we left the ground”. Within seconds His voice spoke to my heart. “My daughter that is the way it will be when you come home to be with me, you will never know when your feet leave the ground.”
The wonder of the moment continued as I looked at the breathtaking view of earth below. The flat land of Arizona looked like black velvet covered with thousands of sparkling diamonds …it was so beautiful and again, responding to my wonder, I heard the Father say, “Yes My child, now go back and tell them about the joy and jewels of My Kingdom”
So I shall speak of that which I know and have experienced, knowing that many can relate and perhaps others to whom it may be an encouragement to keep pressing into the knowledge of our Savior and the reality of Kingdom living. We are all pilgrims on this journey through the wilderness of life, but there is a pathway that leads to things more wonderful than we can imagine …if we will only believe.
