These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words. Flattering people to gain advantage.”  [Jude 16]

Not a favorite verse this morning. but wisdom says… what can I learn from this?  Many are talking about ‘end times’ and most assuredly we are living in such a time.  Who are they that exhibit such behavior?  Are they not seen on the streets of our cities as those who shout obscenities with rage, who pillage, rob, steal and destroy?

What is our response to such anarchy, but to seek the face of God and cry out for Divine intervention?  But there is more, could it be that our own grumbling and complaining is but a minor expression of self-will and desire?   To believe that God is the engineer, conductor, orchestrator and in charge of the days of our lives is to live life without grumbling or complaint.   What others do does not disturb the peace of the man or woman whose strength and integrity hold them steady and the self-pity at bay.

This is the work of the Holy Spirit and our resource for every detail of our lives.  “…the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly consecrated to God]… He who calls you is faithful who also will do it” [Thessalonians 5:23-24].  Today take heart and hope in the One who is the anchor of your soul and working all things out according to His way and design of life.
