“If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you”        [John 15:7]

Have you ever had the thought “where do I fit” or, “I don’t fit anywhere”.  That actually is a blessed place to be, because you are uniquely designed and ‘fit’ in the sense of belonging or being rooted in the presence of God!  What an awesome place of residing.  Let’s pull this scripture apart a little.

Abide – it means to reside, to stay, to remain, to belong, to live, to dwell.   No external thing is necessary to support who you are—you are complete in Christ.  “And you are complete in him, who is the head of all principality and power” [Colossians 2:10]

So what you have done, what you are doing and all God has planned is who you are!  Stop reaching for something God has not called you to and simply be who you are, where you are. Oswald Chambers says, “If you think you are of no use where you are you certainly will not be of any use where you are not”.  The purpose and calling of your life is ordained by placement and positioning.  Abide in Christ and He will continue to keep you in the calling and placement He has given you.

Ask—what is it you want that you don’t already have?  When opportunity comes, your task is to ask God if this is what He wants not what you want.  Being what God wants will keep you empowered and enabled to fulfill your calling.  You will be among those who say, “The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance” [Psalm 16:6]

Answer—the answer is your desire shall be given to you and fulfill your calling.  Accept the ‘pieces’ of the puzzle of your life and they will fit perfectly with who God has made you to be.  “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” [Psalm 37:4]
