”A man’s wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense.” [Proverbs 19:11]
Along with all the celebrations comes the ‘little foxes’ –those irritants that upset the apple-cart and leave small but inflammable wounds. We all deal with them—the joy of the season comes hand in hand with the jabbing remarks—unconscious, flippant, rarely intentional but nevertheless—sharp and often painful!
Remember—silence is a virtue when stress is high—wisdom will always wait and willingly overlook an offense.
Remember—loose lips are the enemies bait waiting on the borderline of joyful conversation and are no respecter of persons—we are all prone to letting slip words that should have been snuffed out. Especially during this season ask for greater sensitivity to those around you.
Remember—love covers and creates a buffer for everyone involved and we all need to be given a little more love. When you want to give a gift that keeps on giving—give love—what goes around comes around—love will come back to you.
Remember—The Spirit is given for this purpose, ”…to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” [Ephesians 4:3]
