Be Strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance.  –Isaiah 35:4

We’ve all been there…that moment when enough is enough, when the storm keeps smashing the shoreline of life and when honesty touches the feelings of Elisha who, worn-out, weary and wondering, said, “Am I the only one left? Is there anyone else out there?”

At those times, for some people, including the present leaders of Israel, the answer must seem to be “no.”

I can hear the words of Jesus echoing down through the ages as the whispers of change began and many left Him saying, “Do you also want to go away?”  I hear them again when the enemy was closing in and trouble was in the air…“What? Could you not watch with Me one hour?”

The God of Israel has provided for His people the iron dome, unseen and highly effective against the weapons of the enemy.  If that picture is not one regarding the weapons of our warfare, then we are indeed blind.  Paul says in II Cor. 10:4, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” The church is the spiritual iron dome, being positioned and prepared to be the light to the world.  It is the weakness of America that has been exposed, but, when our weakness produces worship and spiritual boldness, God is glorified and able to do exceedingly more than we can ask or think!
