”Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God” [3 John 11]
The telephone rings, the e-mails pour in…there is no doubt we are living in unprecedented times of crisis. Murphy’s law [whatever can happen will happen] is happening and while the wicked of the world expose their war machines the children of the world in increasing numbers continue to die of aids, hunger and all manner of disease.
The story of man’s predicament hasn’t changed over the ages, but numbers and proximity bring reality into our worlds through communication technology. To ‘see’ God and to hear His story is to know and to see all that is good—a weapon powerful enough to transform the hearts of men from evil to good and change the world we live in.
Jesus said, ”…you are the light of the world…” [Matthew 5:14] Wherever you have light [the Word] you have authority but wherever there is ignorance darkness covers and it is the territory of the devil. Take authority over evil and ‘do’ well—tell God’s story this Christmas and watch your doing good overcome the darkness.
