On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb” [Luke 24:1]

We have walked through another glorious season of resurrection power—awakening from the dead—the culmination of the Father’s plan freely given for every one of us!  It was love that came down, love that hung on the Cross and love that empowered resurrection.  What then do you expect?  Love that gave all carries with it all that will ever be needed.

Trouble is our world is full of death, many are like these women—they went expecting to find a dead body!  They were told—He is not here, He is risen!  Hallelujah!

A new season, a new life, a new excitement and expectation.  Dead bodies are magnets to dead things; they erode and disintegrate back to dust.  But new life, eternal life is forever.  New life draws like a magnet new things, exciting things, and unbelievable, unimaginable things.  The natural mind would shout ‘impossible’ but to those that expect there are dreams, visions, and unexplainable possibilities waiting.  When asked by the disciples, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”  Jesus said, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”  [John 6:29]

Grasp the hand of this second Adam—leave the first Adam to die in the dust—hold fast, become one with the Master, His hand is the hand you can trust.  Don’t look to the dead or the dying; focus fast on the future ahead, the path that you walk with the Savior will be righteousness, just as He said.
