Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength” [Isaiah 40:31]

The sun rises without any other fanfare than its own eternal beauty…designed and created to spread light into the darkness it permeates the deepest forest and awakens the smallest blade of grass.  The entrance of dawn is deafening yet without a sound.   “Ask a sign for yourself from the Lord your God: ask it either in the depth or in the height above” [Isaiah 7:11]….and we are given life.

Quiet mornings are swept away by the necessities of life and gone is the wonder of solitude, but what has been given can now be released into the practical working of every day life.  This Emmanuel—runs with us in the strength He gives and rejoices with us in the living of life!  Over and over again the message comes to us….He gives… ”He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength”! [Isaiah 40:29]

Times are difficult—mostly because they have changed—don’t waste time thinking ‘why’ are things different—-its time to ‘think’ about ‘why’ the things of the season; why the gifts, why the manger, why the wise men, why the continued remembrance after 2000+ years.  Why the songs, why the quiet joy and peace even though things are not as they ‘used’ to be… He is still with us.

Quiet down, far-flung ocean islands.  Listen!  Sit down and rest, everyone.  Recover your strength.  Gather around me.  Say what’s on your heart.  Together let’s decide what’s right” [Isaiah 41:1 The Message]
