“…imitate God…walk in love” [Ephesians 5:1-2]
Walking is not only good for the body, but creates stillness in the soul and inspiration to the spirit.
Adjusting our busy and overactive lives to walk seems frivolous, but taking time to walk will alter our perspective and perspective is the latch-key, it opens windows of new and exciting vision. The wells of our salvation are deep and as we walk out of the deep splash new colors, shapes, sounds and passion of creativity.
Walking in love looks at the same view with different eyes and ears, suddenly joy explodes with the goodness of a loving heavenly Father. Imagination is set free, a wonderland of childlike dreams of faith and revelation dance before our eyes and all things are deemed possible.
Walking with Jesus moves us beyond the ordinary dimension of life and sees the possibilities of the ‘much more’ of abundant living. “…I come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” [John 10:10b]
“All of the larger than life questions about our presence here on earth and what gifts we have to offer are spiritual questions. To seek answers to these questions is to seek a sacred path” [Dr Lauren Actress] Four things we receive when we walk and seek the answers to life.
(1) Sacred path ”True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction” [Psalm 23:4 TM]
(2) Security “…I’m not afraid when you walk at my side Your trusty shepherd’s crook makes me feel secure” [Psalm 23:4 TM]
(3) Self-worth ”You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing.”[Psalm 23:5 TM]
(4) Significance ” Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life. I’m back home in the house of God for the rest of my life.” [Psalm 23:6 TM]
