”Don’t run up debts, except for the huge debt of love you owe each other. ” [Romans 13:8 The Message]

What a wonderful prayer request for us to hold up to the Father.  To be able to fulfill this debt of love for others.

Love for others does not rid or relieve others of sin only God can do that—but in His presence we are the conduits of His mercy and grace, Jesus said;  “If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them…”  [John 20:23]

Our love gives hope and encourages others with a kind word—or giving to others for no particular reason than the joy of giving.  By being there when things go wrong, when life is hard and all you can do is give a listening ear or helping hand… you love.  William Wordsworth wrote,  ”The best portion of a good man’s life is his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love “ Love when others slip and slide and need the grace that covers and will convert a sin sick soul. ”Let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.”  [James 5:50]

To give love that looks beyond the fault and sees the fruit growing because we know and believe all things do work together for the good, and in its working bears the resemblance of the King of Kings.   This is the royal law, a love that fulfills the call to ”…love your neighbor as yourself” [James2:8]
