“When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him…” (Matthew 1:24a)
As I sat enjoying the music and the message of the ballet “The Nutcracker”, I was intrigued by the special affects of the fine curtain used to set the scene. Fabric so fine and hung in such a way as to give the illusion that as if by magic the players were passing back and forth. On the side of the audience was natural reality while within the curtain dreams were dreamed, desires were manifested life was breathed into everyone who joined the dream and for just a little while the audience lived the dream.
How many of us go through life believing that what we see, touch and hear in the natural is reality? It’s time to ‘wake up’ and do what God has commanded! What dream have you dreamed only to believe it was just that …a dream. Read the story again, over and over, our God pierces man’s natural abilities with truth and reveals a reality beyond the natural He brings such joy, such hope, such love, such abundance of life that like Joseph we …. do what the Lord commands us. Joseph had a revelation and suddenly awoke, arose and saw the face of God and called His Name Jesus.
Listen to these words from the book of Job. “In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction.” (Job 33:15, 16) There is a place to live beyond the shadowy dim light of the natural. Christ came and the Kingdom of God was revealed. A different way of living, loving and listening was given a gift so magnificent 2000 + years later the message is still being heard. The dream once given is brought to life by the guidance given in the sealed instruction—it cannot fail!
Today… learn it, love it, listen to the music, hear the message and live God’s dream for your life!
