“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” [Hebrews 10:23]
As we think again of the Christmas story and the promise of a Savior keep in mind these things.
God is faithful—Though many years had passed since the Word was given through Isaiah the prophet, it come to pass. “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government will be on his shoulders…” God not only makes promises to men but as men watch, wait and work He performs and fulfills the promise. Look into His Word—get His promise for your life and then remember these things.
God’s timing—The wise men had to follow the star—even when the star went behind the clouds they kept pressing forward to reach and receive the promise. There was an exact time and an exact location for the promise to be born. “But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people…” [Matt. 2:6, Micah 5:2]
God is the way—God doesn’t just ‘make a way’ God is the way and He has ways and means we cannot fathom. Don’t look for what you think should happen but keep your focus on Him and He will reveal ways you never dreamed of.
Whatever prophetic word or promise God has given you—watch, wait, worship the God of the promise and He will perform His purpose for your life. “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God” [2 Corinthians 1:20 NIV] Are you among those who have heard the prophetic promise of God? Then speak forth the AMEN [so be it] to it so that God may be glorified.
