“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.”  [Hebrews 10:36]

Hiccups, hindrances and hard places…life is full of them.  They come to us as part of the training school of the Holy Spirit. In the words of Kenneth Kaunda—“When you go in search of honey you must expect to be stung by bees.”  There are precautions to be taken—certain covering for protection—but you will face the bees!  If you are not willing to take a risk in living, you may risk not living at all.

For those willing to uncover their insecurities, the security of God’s presence pronounces blessings on the hiccups, hindrances and hard places.  Be it a little fox or the fiery dart of the evil one, our trepidations fade in the Light of God’s promised presence and power.

Through hiccup, hindrance or hard places remember.  “The ability to concentrate—to persevere on a course without distraction or diversion—is a power that has enabled men of moderate capability to reach heights of attainment that have eluded the genius.  They have no secret formula other than to persevere. — R. Alex Mackenzie.  The Apostle Paul said, “…we’re not giving up.  How could we!  …these hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us…” [2 Corinthians 4:17 The Message]

Hold fast to the hem of His garment—hold fast to the promised reward—His presence with you and His power will prove to the world HE IS LORD!
