“Give thanks to the Lord, for His loving-kindness is everlasting” [2 Chronicles 20:21]

Thank you Nana!  What wonderful simple words.  Nations apart yet when I hear those words I would give heaven and earth to be closer to where our granddaughter lives.  Skype is wonderful but can never take the place of the warmth of arms that encircle.

How much more does our heavenly Father desire to wrap His arms around us, take away our fears and give the ‘much more’ of His Presence.   So many hear the words from the pulpit and never move any closer than a cursory glance, they put their check in the offering plate and satisfied they’ve done their part they move on.   They miss the glorious wonder of true and intimate relationship with this awesome God.

Even when we are not there for Him – He is there for us. “Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, for the Lord is with you” [2 Chronicles 20:17]

Whatever tomorrow brings – fear not, God is with you and if you will move a little closer, stay in His presence a little longer you will feel His arms around you and peace will flood your soul.  “The only impression left by such a life is that of the strong calm sanity that Our Lord gives to those who are intimate with Him.” – Oswald Chambers
