”Trust in the Lord with all your heart”  [Proverbs 3:5a]

Its through the heart ties that trust becomes a life giving source—first trust in Jesus Christ—His presence—His power—His promises.  Then the hard part comes— trust that accepts relationship with others that is unconditional in its attitude.  To love like God loves, is an act of maturity and because it is, like all maturity, it grows in process and through the milieu of life’s experiences.

This being the case growing our relationship with Christ is first and foremost—when others let you down, when they reject you—when they strip you of dignity and who you are, when they leave you in relentless pain—dig more deeply into Jesus Christ.  Turn your attention to growing the fruit of the spirit in your life until God transforms your wound into witness, your hurt into hope, your pain into purity and your bruises into blessings.

The fact is in your deepest darkness God’s light shines the brightest—His presence proves His unchanging love and His promises are released in power.  No man can do for you what Jesus has already done nor can He accomplish what God alone can bring to pass.  Trust that grows in God transcends the tragedies of life, turns the deepest pit into a palace of His abiding and shines forth with His Glory!
