The first thing I want you to do is pray.  Pray every way you know how…” (1 Timothy 2:1 TM)

We sat and watched our eyes wide with horror as thousands of people, within the moments it took to catch our breath – died.  Aghast at the scene as two towers of symbolic national and international economic strength were reduced to rubble, the picture has been burned into our souls and we shall never be the same.

A friend after returning from New York shared in a whisper.  “There was a hush “, she said, “ a strange quietness over this great city, the heart of one of the most revered cities in the world no longer had the same surge of activity, in place of the rushing pulse of life was a somberness, an agony of remembering.”

I have ‘seen’ behind and beyond the crumbling crush of humanity and concrete towers and my own heart quivers as I am forced to face reality.  Those crumbling towers were also symbolic of the crumbling decline and decay of the morality of this great nation in the last few years.

Decadence and corruption of national leadership has danced in the face of all that is decent with demoralizing lewdness.  People whose trust was in the value of the coin, not the God of the coin boldly proclaim, “Morality can go down as long as my stocks go up”!    But God will not be mocked!

Little has changed as greater deception moves swiftly across the nation and the world. In the words of Paul to Timothy, “…there will be terrible times in the last days…”   Make this a time of prayerful commitment and remember our hope is not in the man of God our hope is in the God of the man.
