”…make sure you understand what the Master wants.”  [Ephesians 5:17 The Message]

Did you ever suddenly ‘hear’ what the Master says and realize He has been saying this many times before?  You’ve heard the words but missed the understanding.  Someone once said—‘the truth is often negative in its first appearing’ something inside of you repels the words until suddenly the next time it is said you ‘get it’—you understand!

Call it revelation, call it a breakthrough—call it letting go of a predetermined mindset, call it healing of the inner man—the fruit of real listening is always PEACE and JOY!

The wonder of hearing the voice of Jesus gains in sweetness only as it is ‘chewed’ and applied.  That’s what understanding means. But ‘getting it’ doesn’t always happen the first time that He speaks.

Keep on keeping on—learning to listen grows exponentially.  The more you know and receive His love the more understanding grows.  John had walked a long time with Jesus before he said, “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us…”  the sense of awe and wonder filled John’s heart and his desire brought him to the place of saying,  “Dear friends, now we are children of God…… do not let anyone lead you astray.  He who does what is right is righteous…He who does what is sinful is of the devil…”   Actions speak louder than words but words always require understanding.
