“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us…” (1 John 3:1)

In 2014 during surgery, four stents were placed in the arteries of my heart. During this process the Spirit of God spoke the following words of encouragement: “My love is able to bring life into that which was dead, restore the broken places and remove every blockage.”

What an immense difference in life and energy was given to me as blood flowed more freely bringing greater life and healing.   As I meditated on what was taking place, I saw the spiritual significance and the wonderful metaphor of the work of the Holy Spirit in my own personal and spiritual growth that was taking place. Things that I thought were dead began to come alive, broken dreams were restored and blockages removed, spiritually and naturally.

Tomorrow we will celebrate Valentine’s Day – the day of love.  Pause.  Take time to ponder the great love of God and return once again to your first love, not the love that you had for another or even for God.  Return to the Love given to you on Calvary.  That is the first and only eternal love known to man.

We can never plunge its depths. We can only live and dwell in its reality.  Love is freedom.  When found in Christ, there is no comparison; there is no other power like the power of the Love of God.
