Go then and make disciples…” [Matthew 28:29 AMP]

You’re always ‘on mission’—words spoken by a loved one as we shopped for that something special. They slipped into my mind and caused me to stop and ponder the reality of what was said and what it really meant to be missionary minded.

There’s a mindset when you are on mission for God—a mindset that holds the key to staying power, confidence and joyful expectation. Wherever you are as a child of God you are on a mission, you have a purpose and you have been given certain resources to create a missionary environment. Before you head for the office—school or some other market place destination, lift up your head—hand—and heart for key #1. EMPOWERMENT.

“…I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and physical and mental strength and ability over all the power that the enemy possesses…” [Luke 10:19 AMP] This is the staying power of the Holy Spirit in your heart.

“…there has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish…”  [Philippians 1:6 TM] This is the great confidence of the mind in which a missionary walks and works.

“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full” [John 15:11] Your destiny is the life He has given into your hands, it is the mission field of God’s own choosing. Go into your mission field motivated with joyful expectation.
