“…Behold, I make all things new…write for these words are true and faithful.”  (Revelation 21:5)

Every word of God is designed to impart life and hope into our lives and every promise is a finished work in the heart of the Father.

Here is a promise that according to verse 6 is already accomplished, but it also says …only to those who thirst for it, those who desire it, those who have found the fountains of earthly pleasures unable to quench the deep and desperate needs of their soulsFor those that overcome their earthly passions, cry out from the pits of perversion and know their need, verse 7 says; “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, I will be his God and he shall be My son.”

Perhaps we should look at what we must overcome in vs.8.  “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

The same hand that penned these words also told us how to overcome the world, the devil and our own sin nature?  “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.  And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith …he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:4)

Only when we read the whole story can we begin to comprehend the greatness of the Love and Mercy of God.  Little by little we receive what was freely given at Calvary and experience the faithfulness of every Word of the Living God. “Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation old things have passed away all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

Today…be still and let Him… make all things new
