“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land, for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”  [Genesis 28:15]

God is relocating people all around the world—thousands are being ‘displaced’—but God is in control!

Today Joe and I leave for our journey to Austria where refugees are being dispersed into buildings that hold hundreds.  Generally speaking, one room per family, all waiting at the mercy of governments who themselves are overwhelmed by the numbers.  But God has a plan; He has gone before to prepare the way.  He has already relocated His people to minister to the refugees greatest need—salvation in Christ alone.   Through His word the missionaries know that to serve also means to meet the physical needs and through the body of Christ comes the humanitarian resources necessary.

It will be a joy to spend this time and season with our loved ones Daniel, Kathleen and Ava and no less a joy to put our hands to the plough and minister with them in their calling to so many in need.  In the story of the Jericho road [Luke 10:33] there is one undeniable truth—compassion is given when the Samaritan ‘saw’ the man in need.  This is why we ask you to pray with us that we might truly ‘see the man’ behind the need and that God would grace us with compassion that will minister His love.

Please pray for all the lives we will touch and the journey we take.  Our word today promises us that God will fulfill His plans by His presence and be the travelling mercies we need, but more than that is the promise the He by His Spirit will fulfill His purpose.

God Bless you and thank you for going with us in prayer!
