“Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy…” [Isaiah 52:8]
Sometimes you might think the darkness is so great you wonder…where the watchmen on the walls are, where are the prayer warriors…where are those that stand in the gap. Pull back the covering just slightly and you shall see the multitudes of the faithful ones. They continue day and night to intercede, to bring forth the praises of God throughout the earth. All else is deception.
They are those who bear the name of ‘the remnant’. They are a great host who are joined in prayer by those that have gone before and cry out from under the altar of our God. Though weak they are fearless, though hidden they are exposed to all of heaven, even their tears are captured as special diamonds of love that water the earth with grace and mercy.
They are the ones with ‘sparkling eyes’, the joy filled saints that move among us daily listening, beyond what the eye sees to the burdened hearts of the people and carry them to the throne of grace.
Are you among them? Then take heart you are part of a great host that shall see and know the appearing of the Lord. He shall bear His Holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God. Let the chorus begin this new day with shouts of JOY for our God reigns and His mercy is from everlasting to everlasting.
