“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”  [Philippians 1:21]

“Safe and secure!”These are the words that the Spirit whispered as I prayed for the family whose husband, father and our friend, had recently gone home to be with the Lord.   Herein is the confidence we have as fellow Christians, eternal security in Christ.  This our hope and belief, it is the only safe and secure place we have.

Corrie Ten Boom said, “When Jesus takes your hand, He keeps you tight.  When Jesus keeps you tight, He leads you through your whole life.  When Jesus leads you through your life, He brings you safely home” [In My Father’s House].

The depths of our fellowship in the Holy Spirit is not produced by life’s sufferings but proven by them.  It is then we become aware that the Love of God, mostly unnoticed and unannounced, has been working within us both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

To know this love of Jesus will lighten up the way, though the way you take is shadowed and the valley may seem long, if you’ll listen to His heart beat you’ll hear redemption songs.  Though death may be your portion and sorrows tempt your way hold fast to all He promised, His Love will show the way.
