”Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” [Acts 3:19]

Turning to God and times of refreshing bring all kinds of serendipitous blessings; His present appearing in the moment to moment activities of the day.  A few years ago, while away and without prior planning, we found ourselves in the television studios of the 700 Club.  It just happened to be the National Day of Prayer, what a glorious privilege to be present and part of the worldwide prayers for our nation.

If MY people, that is each person who claims Christ as Savor, would repent.  Refreshing, that leads to revival happens one heart at a time.  It is difficult to write about the glorious peace and presence of God when so many Christians do what is right in their own eyes.

Like Nehemiah we must receive the burden of the Lord for our nation by cleansing our own hearts.  We must repent of arrogance, pride and self-centered complacency.  We have had all kinds of charismatic leaders in the last 25 years, but few preach the repentance of sin and many are discovered as living in sin.

Our ministry was directed to return to the U.S. in 2000 and to “be prepared to help those that were riding the wave of revival”.   We are blessed to be used in seeing the lost come to the Lord in repentance, but to see this nation turn back to God will only happen when everything else is gone and only God remains!   “If there is to be another revival, it will be through the readjustment of those of us on the inside who call ourselves Christians.”   [Oswald Chambers]

May He have mercy on us and move us by His unlimited grace rather than great catastrophe.  Thereby, to alter our hearts upon the altar of His sacrifice to be our soul’s desire.
