Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases”             (Psalm 103:1-2)

No doubt we all know what a benefit is.  However, by definition, Webster says benefit means: “An act of kindness; a favor conferred; whatever is for the good or advantage of a person or thing.”   In our scripture this morning the Psalmist reminds us that God forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases; the goal being so that everything within us will PRAISE HIM!

But there’s more to the power of praise than positioning us to receive the abundance of the overcoming life.  David is giving us a ‘self-help’ word this morning, and he’s saying, check out your own ‘self-talk’.  Take charge of your very soul; speak life into your soul through praise.  You will be bombarding your mind, your will and your emotions with the power of healing and freedom to receive God’s benefits.  Your body, which the soul uses to live in, will feel a surge of health and well being all because of PRAISE!

PRAISING God is the ultimate end and aim of all we go through and it puts us in the place of His Presence, because in all circumstances, in every situation God is Present and in control.

Back of the loaf is the snowy flour, And back of the flour the mill, And back of the mill are the wheat and the shower, And the sun, and the Father’s will.”   Get it?  God is Sovereign, in control of every breath you breathe so make it a breath of praise this morning, it will turn your day into a great day!

Let everything that is within you PRAISE GOD!
