” Today is a day of trouble, insults, and disgrace. It is like when a child is ready to be born, but the mother has no strength to deliver the baby. “  [ 2 Kings 19:3]

It’s that moment when you come to terms with a sense of powerlessness—something happens and there’s nothing you can do—you go to the gas [petrol] station and realize the cost is outrageous—but there’s no way out—there’s no way around it—you just have to go through…

Going through is what separates the men from the boys—those who mimic from those who are truly mature and those who know about Christ from those who know Christ.  It’s a season when push comes to shove and like the proverbial grape the squeezing proves the quality of juice produced.  It reminds me of the battle at Ramoth Gilead—Ahab went into battle disguised and was killed when.  ”…someone drew his bow at random and hit the king of Israel—“ and…”…at sunset he died.”

On the other hand King Jehoshaphat made sure everyone knew who he was and in the heat of the battle when the enemy would mow him down ”…he cried out and the Lord helped him. God drew them away from him”

Cry out to the Lord this morning and the power to overcome will come over you, in the midst of the battle God will draw the enemy away from you!
