”…from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth—he who forms the hearts of all, …considers everything they do…”          [Psalm 33:14-15]

As an amateur gardener when I moved to a new location I had to learn the types of soil in the garden, what grows well in certain area of the garden and which plants flourish while others may wither and die.

Isn’t it amazing that we accept the fact that God has a very specific location for plants—situations where there is the correct amount of sunlight, nutrients, shade or no shade—in such an environment plants bloom and as a friend of mine said—they are so happy there!  When they are weak, crippled and have no fruit we know something is wrong and we search to find the right place to relocate them.

The ways of God are simple—where He is, growth occurs—roots deep in the earth may not be seen but the health of the root will promote peace, love and joy—now that’s happiness.   God has made each person unique and within the heart there lies a calling that matches the source from which it came.  It searches and seeks to find the place chosen by the creator, where life and health can bloom and be a witness to His watch care.

The secret of such a place is found in abiding in Him and allowing Him to change the environment whenever necessary ”…he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.  God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him. Though he is not far from each one of us. “ [Acts 17:26b-27] The lily does not spin nor toil for it is planted by the master gardener—we have a choice…remember this morning—wherever you are—God is!…be happy!
