“ The end of all things is near…be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.  Above all, love each other deeply…”              [1 Peter 4:7-8]

There’s no argument that we are closer today than ever before—God is outside of time so the secret to these words is that it is not about moments, days, weeks or years.  It’s an attitude, a lifestyle—a perception that any moment the fragility of life may dissolve before our eyes and we step into another dimension.

Faith prepares us to make that transition as we continually walk by faith and not by sight.  We continually walk in and into the unknown realms of a spiritual kingdom.

There are two things that create the stability necessary for living in the spiritual kingdom while residing in the natural world.

1). Keep your thinking clear– ”…Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have…with gentleness and respect. “  [1 Peter 3:15]

2).  Maturity maintains control through love so…don’t fly off the handle or yield to selfishness.

The two triggers of self-control are ego and emotions—take your finger off the trigger—God is in control.   Peter says this will enable you to know how to pray because love is the power of spiritual perception, a Christ-like attitude and a holy lifestyle.   You will know the times and seasons and be prepared to move beyond the end of time.
