Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them” [Hebrews 7:25]

We were encouraged Monday with the knowledge that someone somewhere is praying for us…they are those with the influence and attitude of Christ.  They reflect the reality that Christ Himself is always interceding for those that cry out to God!

What about those times you are really not sure what to pray?  That too has been taken care of—Paul said,”For if I pray in a tongue my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.” [1 Corinthians 12:14] There are times in the prayer closet we need to ‘by-pass’ the mind with its often selfish desires and simply pray in the spirit—when you pray with your mind you will often pray those things you want—when you pray in the spirit God gives you the things you need—and will direct you to His Word for your answers.

Praying in the spirit will build-up your spirit man and equip you to walk in God’s plan rather than your own.  As a friend said during a telephone conversation, Diane I have been led to simply pray in the spirit and trust God! ”In the same way the Spirit helps us in our weakness.  We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.”  [Romans 8:26]  There are many facets to prayer, but the power that opens the door to listen and hear from heaven is a spirit of praise and worship—letting go of what we think is a major facet to knowing and receiving what God thinks!
