“…you will be my witnesses…” [Acts 1:8]

Everyone knows that to be a witness you would have to witness something.  This means you have been involved in a situation or circumstance.  Being a witness is knowing the reality about something—therefore you are able to witness about it.

We think of those who are unable to speak as being ‘dumb’.  It follows there must be a ’dumb’ spirit in the Kingdom of God and some family members need to be encouraged to get over it.  You have experienced the greatest story on earth.  If you do not speak out the next generation of your family may never know the story.   ”…If you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise…from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish…”  [Esther 4:14].  The experience of what God has done in your life does need something more; it needs the power to climb over the wall that the dumb spirit has built.  Here’s how you can tear down the wall and overcome!

Use a really sharp weapon. ”the word of God is living and powerful…sharper than any two-edged sword…piercing the soul and spirit…”  [Hebrews 4:12].  Take hold of the provision.  ”…I will strengthen you…I will help you…I will uphold you with My …hand. “ [Isaiah 41:10]

Live in the power of agreement.  The way you live will speak louder than your words, but the two must be congruent.  Being a witness means – I experience and my mind holds it in memory therefore, I think, I speak, and I ACT!   That’s why the book of ACTS is so named!  They acted upon what they had witnessed!    ”Jesus said, The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor… heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty…sight to the blind…”   He spoke and ‘acted upon’ what he said!
