”Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.”        [Number 33:53]

Peter re-enforces this Word when he said,”Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises…”  [2 Peter 1:4] Stop and meditate on the words ‘through these’—through what—His own glory and goodness.  His glory is His presence—His goodness is His perfection.  Many say ‘I trust God’ but that’s not enough you must ‘trust in His goodness’.  He is not just a promise giver He is a promise keeper!   ”God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.  Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill…” [Numbers 23:19]

As always in Scripture, the key actor in the drama of each stage of increase is the Lord…not the people or Moses…the promise is—“…for I have given you the land…” more than a promise it sounds like a completed transaction. In the Message it is written, ”Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus…a sure beginning of what he is destined to complete…”  [2 Corinthians 1:20]     Action proves the glory—presence of God and your belief proves the goodness of God—go ahead and live as though you believe and you shall both live and believe in the power of God’s presence.
