”I am God, your Holy One, Creator of Israel, your King.” [Isaiah 43:15 The Message]
Have you ever found yourself waiting in the wrong line frustrated, even furious when finding out that as you thought the last 30 minutes were ‘wasted’. No blame game here just admission of being blind in one eye and not knowing it!
On a larger scale, life for some is lived out waiting and watching, wishing and worrying for something that is never meant to be and in the natural time is wasted. Turning this negative picture into positive power is part and parcel of the Christian walk. That’s why Paul said wait just a moment, “…all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. “ [Romans 8:28]. God is always Sovereign. It parallels the age-old question, if He knows those who are His, why do we do what we do! Humbled we recognize, His ways are not our ways and His thoughts not our thoughts and spiritual eyesight gets better with age
I have experienced this in a measure and what one might perceive as a ‘small step’ for man, has become a huge leap in growth and development. It’s like coming out of a very long curve in the road to find a whole new vista of God’s wonderful love and guidance. What seemed to be ‘wrong’ was actually a classroom of intense learning and training in the ways and wonder of serving God. Everything good of the past is a glorious part of the weaving and life wraps itself around you as the arms of God.
Change is not an overnight, once and for all; done that been there mind-set. The change that began when you said yes to God is eternally operating. Life is a constant rhythm of new and different. The ingredients that grow are love, joy and peace. If you find yourself in a line that seems like the wrong line give yourself a break; it’s more than likely God’s line and the best place to be waiting.
