“Come you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.”(Psalm 34:11)

The world’s clarion call of ‘staying one step ahead’ has led the multitudes to the edge and then answered their cry of fear with prescription drugs that dull the mind and close the heart to all that life is really all about.  The searching has led to the scorching heat of the desert and given the drink of inebriation to ‘fix’ the failure of a loveless generation.

With the ability to ‘travel the world in eighty seconds’ we sit in our air-conditioned living rooms and are given an armchair view of absolute horror and destruction, and we too are wounded by the weakness of man’s failure to help.  But there is hope and there is help!

Responding to our heavenly Father as children requires the simplicity of trust and the laying down of pride.  Unlike the fear of the world that grips the heart in terror fear of the Lord is Faith Encircling an Attitude of Repentance.  Herein is repentance – “Step out of the traffic!  Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything.”  (Psalm 46:10 The Message)

Here are some of the treasures you will find when living in the fear of the Lord
