”…the fire on the altar must be kept burning…” [Leviticus 6:12}

Have you ever sat and listened to the train running along the track?  There is a momentum that ‘sings’ and a magnificent unity between the track and the train.  The earth gives way as the track carries the cargo toward the destination.

Somewhere back behind the engine the fireman stokes the fire; the fire builds the steam and the energy flows.  There is synergy as each element of the system moves in rhythm and maintains the same direction.

Keeping the fires burning releases more than energy it ignites hope and hope ignites the passion proves the journey will be completed.  This is the mystery of union with God, life focused, faithful and full of determination to reach the destination.

“…It is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work….”  [Isaiah 54:16]  It is the fire that has purified, filled you with passion and positioned you to do the work, to run the race, to finish the fight of faith.  You have been made to be one with the track and to know the triumph of a tried by fire victory in Christ!
