I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.” [Philippians 4:13]

The Body of Christ in the West has longed to see the supernatural power of God manifested as it is in the East and was in the early church.  At the touch of the Spirit of Christ, blind eyes see, deaf ears hear and the weak and frail are made whole.   If you are like me, this scripture this morning means you just keep trying, you just keep persevering and God will give you strength!  Well, that is as it may be, but I must bear witness.

Yesterday, I went to the oncologist for a “checkup.”  All was well with my lung X-ray—no problem! Praise His Holy Name!  But then, my blood count [hemoglobin] revealed I was anemic.  The physician’s assistant said, “At this level we usually give a blood transfusion.  You should be tired and weak!”   However, after a season of recuperation, I was neither tired nor weak; in fact, Joe and I were overjoyed and praising God for the strength and energy He had restored to me.  But here I was with no physical reason for my strength!

Could it be that my spirit man is walking, talking, thinking and living by that same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead?  Today I must say a resounding “YES!” This strength is the supernatural energy of which Paul was speaking.   No personal effort or energy is needful, just the very presence of God.   I do not know what tomorrow holds, but I know the Hand that holds tomorrow and that same Hand has my name engraved in the palm of it.  Furthermore, no man can snatch me out.   Let this be your witness today, also!
