“Rejoice Always! “ [1 Thessalonians 5:16]
Rounding the bend, switching lines or lanes requires greater control. Rounding the bend is usually a ‘high-speed’ breathtaking experience; the one with the hand on the wheel must have a firmer grip and clear vision. Take heart, the one who held you in the previous line, has already equipped you to hold steady while moving forward. The choice of ‘lanes’ or ‘lines’ has already been programmed into the blueprint it is within the gradual, yet ever increasing change process.
Paul said, Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!” [Philippians 4:4]. The word ‘rejoice’ actually means, “return to the source of our joy”. Once the corner is made, the direction is clear and balance is maintained. Just ‘hang loose’ with the joy of your salvation. He has promised to do the rest.
“For anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his…” [Hebrews 4:10 NIV]. I have entered the rest where God remains. He brought me here by changing lanes. Yesterday dims in the light of the hour; as I rest and abide in His strong Tower. Like saints of old who held true to His Word His rest for today can still be heard. So joy in His presence, find freedom from fear the road you have taken has brought you near to the throne of His presence in perfect peace and the flame of His passion gives glorious release.
“The rest which is the outcome of entire sanctification is not the rest of stagnation, but the rest of the reality of union with God” [Oswald Chambers]
