“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

Yesterday we wrote about touching Jesus and being healed.  The whole idea is that He will touch you and, when He does, there is power for you to touch and heal the nations.  God has said, “Ask of me and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession” (Psalm 2:8).   Have you positioned yourself in Christ for His empowerment?  Then you are an instrument of God for the healing of the nations.

How, you may ask?  First, ask.  “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” God has a ways and means committee and nothing is too hard for Him.  Remember who is speaking. Job had the wisdom to say, “I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.”

Second, remember it is His plan and His power and the purpose for the outpouring of Pentecost.  God never does things the way we expect or to fulfill our personal agenda.  All that God does in some mysterious way is used in the tapestry of His eternal mapping.

It was David’s prayers that released God’s plan; it was Job’s relationship with Almighty God that ministers to us even in suffering.  It is Paul’s prayers that broke the prison bars.  How?

Third, commit your life to God. Pray and ask. He has said, “…see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.”
