My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle.  –Job 7:6

The shuttle weaves the gilded threads, carrying the woof thread back and forth between the warp threads.  In doing so, it creates a tapestry of beauty. In the same way, God moves through the warp and woof, the circumstances and situations, of our lives.  Shining His Light through the moments of our days, He assures that every task given becomes a witness assignment for Christ.  In Paul’s letter to the Colossians, he said, “I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God. Then you will have minds confident and at rest, focused on Christ, God’s great mystery” (Colossians 2:2).  Whether it be in the market place, the school room, the court room or the living room, the Spirit moves the shuttle and our lives become a vessel for His glory!

Job knew how the days of our lives fly by.  Paul, centuries later, echoes the same message as he urges Christians, saying, “…redeeming the time because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:16).  What he means is that we want to use our time to the fullest and with maximum efficiency.   We at Developing Horizons Ministries have been given the opportunity to “redeem the time” by expanding our territory through radio.
