“Whoever obeys his command will come to no harm, and the wise heart will know the proper time and procedure” [Ecclesiastes 8:5]
Are you spending your time wishing you were elsewhere, wondering if you’d taken the wrong path, or considering giving up because you can no longer deal with ‘others’ whose goal seems to be to make your life miserable. Before you take measures into your own hands and come up with your own strategy consider the following remedy
Take time out, step back and listen to your heart. The distance between hearing God’s voice and pushing your own agenda is found in your heart not your head. It’s your heart that conceives and initiates the things of the Spirit.
Remember those prayers you prayed, that dream you had and ask yourself is the course of action you are planning to take really in line with your heart’s desire? Will it get you what you have hoped and dreamed of or will it lead you down the wrong path?
In the resting from your own plans wisdom will wind its way into your heart and transform your attitude. You will almost hear the click, click, click of your head adjusting to your heart as it brings fresh revelation and inspiration. Faith kicks in when facts take second place and understanding is then free to renew your mind.
The whole nation of Israel was filled with joy and turned toward fulfillment of destiny when the king received God’s wisdom and changed his attitude. Remember timing and procedures are in God’s hands!
